How to Add Custom Tokens to Myetherwallet (MEW)

Introduction

I am seeing lot of new users who gets into ICOs and buys tokens on DEX exchanges like idex.market, forkdelta, etherdelta were unable to find the tokens on the myetherwallet. That does not mean that tokens are not associated with your address but not configured in Myetherwallet.

Steps to Add tokens to myetherwallet

• Go to https://www.myetherwallet.com
• Login using any of the following methods which you have been using to access MEW wallet.

• Once logged in you can see the following option on the right hand side of the page

• Click on the Link ethplorer.io, it will take you to the following page where you can see the tokens associated with your ETH address (in my example i have Elephant (ELE) token associated with my account)

• Click on the Token name and you will see the following Token information

• Following are the important information to add a custom token to myetherwallet

* Contract
* Symbol
* Decimals

• Copy paste those information in the respective fields, so the custom token will appear with its value and you are ready to transfer them to any ETH address

• By default MEW will have all the tokens but sometimes you may need to add a custom token if they are released into the market recently.
